Hello, Oi, Hola, Welcome to my website. This site was created mainly with friends and family in mind, however my current resume is included for those interested. I recently graduated  (May 1999) from Oklahoma State University with a double major in Biology and Spanish. Since then I have worked for MPSI (Marketing Planning Solutions International). They are an international marketing research company in the retail petroleum business based out of Tulsa, Oklahoma. I work in the survey department which is responsible for collecting the information in the field. Fields in which I operate include South, Central and North American markets.

While in college I taught ESL (English as a Second Language) at the English Learning Institute (ELI) at Oklahoma State University. Conversation, reading, listening and computer classes were the main classes I taught. At the same time, I dealt with helping students acclimate themselves to the American culture. I found it a richly rewarding job which I loved. My students taught me as much, if not more, that I taught them. They helped me see the world from a more global perspective. I miss all my students and wish that their goals and dreams come true. Even though I was surrounded by a plethora of languages, I only acquired Portuguese during my stay at the ELI. Before teaching English, I took a year long study abroad in Ecuador where I acquired the majority of my Spanish.

Ecuador was an incredible life changing experience. While in Ecuador, a president (Abdala Buccaram) was elected and forced out of the presidency of the country. The country is still recovering from this horrible event. At the moment, the capital of Quito is experiencing difficulties with Mt. Pinchincha, which is on the verge of eruption. I pray for all my friends in this city nestled at 9000 ft. in the breath-taking Andes mountains. Ecuador is a country so rich in biodiversity which words can not fully describe. Within a five hour drive east of Quito, one can find themselves in the lush rainforests of the Ecuadorian Amazon or the beautiful Pacific coast when traveling west. I tried to experience all Ecuador has to offer, be it by bungee jumping off a 300 ft. bridge, climbing Mt. Cotopaxi (the worlds tallest active volcano) at 19,500 ft, mountain biking thougout the country side, or spending extensive time in the many types of rainforest within the country. However, the most awesome experience was a 10 day trip to the Galapagos Islands through the USFQ (Universidad San Francisco de Quito) where I was a student for two semesters. Another interesting trip was taken in october of 1997 to the Quilotoa Lagoon. It is an empty volcan crater filled with water. The water was very cold!!
